General Leasing Questions

How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.

 

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that we offer fully furnished options if you prefer!

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Great news! 777 Place has a feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer. Just log on to our website, click the “Resident Login” button. After login, you’ll be taken to our resident rent pay portal. There is a convenience charge for this service. However, if you choose to pay with a checking account online the fee is only 99 cents!

Do you allow pets?

777 Place is a pet friendly community! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 50 lbs. and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.

How are roommates matched?

How are rooms assigned?

We currently lease on a first come first serve basis

How close to campus are you?

We are located just steps away from Western University Health Sciences and a short drive from both Cal Poly Tech and Mt. San Antonio!

How many people live there?

Every year the total number varies just slightly, but currently we have 472 units on site.

If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?

We do not require a guarantor but anyone not able to qualify on their own can secure a guarantor.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

777 Place does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times

Is parking available?

Parking at 777 Place is very limited and is available to residents under a first-come-first-served basis. For residents who rent a property and own a car, they can receive one parking pass. For units with two vehicles, a garage pass is required at an additional fee. Two spaces is the maximum number that any one unit can have. What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with a internet service provider in your home. We also have a community Tech Center with free WiFi.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. We offer lease re-assignments for a $300 fee. Please see a leasing professional for further details.

What is the cost?

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size, extra-long. We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.

What types of leases are available?

What utilities are included in my rent?

No utilities are included in rent

When do I put down a deposit?

Deposit is due at time of move in

When is my first payment due?

Payment is due at time of move in.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?

We do not send any type of invoice for rent. However, rent is due at the first of the month and is consider late after 11:59PM on the 3rd.

Renewal Questions

What is a "renewal?"

Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at your community!

If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

No. Your guarantor doesn't have to do anything extra!

If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!

I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

Contact the office for details on the options available to you.

I just moved in, is it too early to renew?

Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.

How do I renew?

We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as "1,2,3"! Just following these steps:

1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.
